My name is Julie and I am 57 years old. I have been working in education for the last 15 years in a secondary school in S.E London where I support deaf children in mainstream classes which I absolutely love.
I’ve always had a sense from a young age that society did not seem to be a fair place even if you were hardworking. I grew up in a working -class household where my dad along with being a deckhand working for the then Port of London Authority on the docks also had to take up two other jobs in order to be able to provide for his family and pay the mortgage. My mum too had two jobs, one working in the local hospital as a bedmaker and as a talented seamstress spent her spare time making clothes for whoever needed something made by her.
I became more interested in politics in my later years because I wanted to see a change in society whereby everyone was paid their worth and could live their lives without just purely surviving from payday to the next payday. Unfortunately, society has not become fairer and it seems that whatever political party is in power nothing really changes and it seems that things are just getting worse with this current government. They are paid an extortionate amount of money to dictate to us in how we should live our lives whilst they not only get to claim expenses for their second homes and food etc but they lie to us with impunity and use tricks via the media to divide us about absolutely everything so that we don’t focus upon their wrong doing.
I believe that we need change, we need a change across the whole of society and a complete overhaul of the system that is currently in play. I believe that this change can happen if we the people can all come together and unite under one common goal. A goal where we as sovereign human beings can work together, who are not motivated by greed to come together towards building a society that aims to improve every aspect of our lives.
My role here is an advisory one.
I am an experienced Biomedical Scientist having worked in hospital diagnostics and academic biomedical research for over thirty years.
I have written numerous peer reviewed papers and other articles on biomedical topics.
It has been obvious to me for many years that biomedicine has been captured by corporate interests and no longer serves the public good.
This unacceptable situation has become even more obvious during the "Covid" era.
Further details to follow.
